I have extreme moderate OCD

I cannot stand biting into things with my front teeth, like bread, apples, granola bars, and so on. I usually just break off a piece that is small enough to fit in my mouth.

I wear my retainers every night, even though I had my braces removed over 7 years ago [weird].

Trash the Dress??

I am sure all of you have heard about trash the dress after your wedding day. If you have not heard of this it is a fun photography session in your wedding dress, after the wedding when you are not afraid to get the dress dirty. Some places brides do the trash the dress session could be the beach, in the snow, or riding a horse.

Examples:

I thought it would be cute to use some from a vineyard because I live in wine country.

It has been 7 months after my wedding, and no I did not do a trash the dress session. I, however, did not want to preserve my dress because I wanted to be able to see it everyday. That is when I decided to 'Throw my Dress'. What in the world does that mean? A very dear friend of my family was willing to sew my dress into a throw pillow, hence, 'Throw the Dress' (feel free to use this yourself).

I am so very excited about this and I finally have it in my hot little hand house. Are you ready for it?

April Calendar Wallpaper

April showers bring May flowers...

I cannot believe that April is already here. This year is definitely more relaxing than the past few years but I am not very happy by how quick we are moving through the year.

Because it is the beginning of April, Smashing Magazine has a whole bunch of new desktop wallpaper calendars to choose from. They actually have 28 free desktop wallpaper calendars this month.

Here is the one that I chose for this month. However, I may be changing it after Easter because there are just so many.

Back to Reality

I am finally home in wine country again and back with my puppy and husband. If you remember, last Wednesday I left for Michigan to visit with my family. Also, I mentioned that it was my Dad's 60th birthday but I did not tell you all that we were going to have a surprise party.

The party was a combined retirement party for my mom and birthday party for my dad. I had a feeling that he knew about the surprise but he was totally 'surprised'.

 We had a cake, balloons, and of course I had to make a 'Sixty Sucks' bucket.

Anyone that has moved away from a place that they have lived at for a long time will have certain things from that previous location that they miss. Well because I was born and raised in Michigan and lived there for 24 years, there was a lot that I missed.

I ate Coney Island (three times)

had Vernors

ate Win Schuler's Fiesta Cheese

shopped at Meijer

spent time with family and friends

drank coffee at Biggby

It was a great time, however, it feels great to be home. Oh and it feels great to be blogging again.
