a traveling Wife: Day One - Fruit Cleanse

Day One - Fruit Cleanse

Before reading into this post, go check out what the cleanse is all about.

--

Day One is pretty simple.
One protein shake every 2 hours from 8a-4p, then a salad for dinner.

The Hubby and I used a Chocolate GNC powder, plus milk and water for our protein drinks.
The actual cleanse calls for a particular type of protein powder but we already had the GNC on hand.
After about the first 3 drinks, they started getting harder and harder to choke down. Although, we were not allowed to eat much solid food, the drinks were very satisfying- I hardly felt hungry all day.

Next came time for the dinner. We had romaine lettuce, cucumbers, green peppers, and snow peas. We decided to cheat again and use ranch dressing rather than just olive oil.

All in all, day one was easy as pie boy I wanted pie but left me wanted something to chew on besides a salad. One tip, never be too far from the bathroom - you will be doing to potty dance a lot. We were constantly peeing due to the amount of liquids we were taking in.

Here is our starting and ending weight for Day One.

Me - 128.5 lb (am) to 128 lb (pm)

Hubby - 187 lb (am) to 185.5 lb (pm)

Come back tomorrow to find out how Day Two goes.

  1. I'm interested to keep reading along about how the cleanse goes! I don't think I could do that many protein shakes in a day. I usually have one for my breakfast, but if I ever have a second one in the same day, my stomach does NOT like it haha!
