Happy day after Easter!!
If you celebrate Easter then I hope you had a fantastic holiday.
If you do not celebrate the holiday, I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
This weekend was pretty darn amazing in my household.
The weather was beautiful.
Hubby changed the brakes on my car. What a wonderful man!
We ate way too much.
Watched the best movie in my opinion.
Friday started the wonderful weather. The sun was shining and the temperature was bearable.
I was even able to enjoy some rays out on our balcony.
The real work began on Saturday. Hubby went out early to change my brakes and I did some cleaning around the house. Afterwards we needed some lunch and our favorite cajun spot had gator for the day.
gator chili, po' boy, jambalaya, and crawfish casserole |
With our bellies full to the max, we went grocery shopping then went for a long walk down the trails.
Hello mister stunner shades!
Finally, it was movie night. We have been stalking every RedBox by us for this one movie. And we have been looking for several weeks. When I saw it was just one mile down the street we went and picked it up. The movie we rented was... Wreck it Ralph.
Can I just say that we loved it?! And if you haven't seen it yet you must hit pause some time during the movie. You won't regret it, I promise!
Sunday was the beloved holiday. We woke up and the Easter Bunny hid some eggs for the puppy.
She really is a spoiled child.
Hubby and I then went and burned some calories and went for a 2.5 mile run.
There was just a slight chill in the air and it was definitely relaxing and much needed.
Upon showering and cleaning up, we ran to the hardware store for some supplies on a new project I am working. Unfortunately, I did not snap any pictures so I do no have a new DIY.
It is almost finished but I might be making another one.
If I do decide to make another, I will turn it into a post don't fret.
Because the weather was so beautiful outside, we took the puppy over to an empty field to play.
She loves being outside, free from a leash, with a stick in her mouth.
Doesn't she just look happy? And don't you love the bandana?
It was finally time to start dinner. We decided to treat ourself to a roasted chicken. But not just any normal roasted chicken. We went for the beer can style roasted chicken.
If you have never heard of that you should educate yourself. Best. Thing. Ever!
The rest of the evening was a little relaxing and a little chocolate chip cookie making.
How was your weekend?
wow- seriously. looks like fun! i did an Easter recap too :)

sounds like a wonderful, relaxing weekend. i love wreck it ralph; one of my favorite scenes was the one where he went to group therapy and you hear "hi, i am zangeif, i am bad guy" because i LOVED playing street fighter when i was a kid.
