a traveling Wife: Celebrations and Pickles

Celebrations and Pickles

Today is a very special day. The Hubby and I are celebrating 8 years together!
I cannot believe it has been that long. We were just young, little adults when we started dating.
Now we are growing together and making fantastic memories together.

This weekend was a true test of our relationship when we got our Jeep stuck and had to call a tow service to help pull us out. Maybe more on that another day.

Beside that little bump in the road weekend, we had a wonderful few days enjoyed with friends.

My lack of pictures does not represent a boring weekend rather, a weekend filled with too many activities to remember to photograph. This is what went down.

Friday our friend came over and stayed the entire weekend and we ate a little dinner then headed out the door to grab some drinks. We stopped along many different bars/restaurants but everything was packed until we found a wine bar. The most challenging part was trying to figure out how to get in.
There were about five or so doors and none looked like the entrance.

Once we finally were in the wine bar we had a blast. It is a self serve wine bar and you get to try whatever wines you like in either a 1, 3, or 6 ounce serving.

After we had our wine fix, we headed to a favorite brewery.
We grabbed some drinks, filled our growler, and headed home.

Saturday we were all able to sleep in. Breakfast was cooked up and then we all got ready for the day.

We did a little shopping. Ate a little sushi. Drank a little coffee.

Then we went back home before we headed down to Indy.

On our way to downtown, we stopped at another favorite brewery and did some tasting.

It doesn't get any better than trying free samples of delicious beer.
We then went to dinner and decided on spending the rest of the night at a dueling piano bar.
What a blast that place was. If you have never been to one before, I highly recommend going.
The atmosphere always reminds me of a concert/comedy club.

We danced, sang, and enjoyed watching people get humiliated by the performers.

Sunday was such a relaxing day. We sat back on the couch for most of the day then met another friend out for dinner to watch the MSU basketball game. And on our way home, we got our car in a little bit of a pickle. But really, that story might pop up in the future.

What did you do this weekend?

There are a few new social media buttons to my sidebar because a traveling Wife is now on instagram.
