Shit People Say

Ahh... another work type post. Honestly, I think work has taken over my life and that may be a good or bad thing. I am still trying to figure that out.

Anyway, answering phones can be a really fun thing. Whether you answer your home phone, cellphone or work phone, you can play around with people on the other end. You know, like answering the phone pretending you are a pizza place. Or maybe you try to mask your voice. Or maybe, just maybe, someone has reached you by dialing the wrong number and you still try to hold on a conversation.

Nothing beats answering phones at work though. You never really know what people will say on the other end. Because of the laughter I have found over the many years of answering phones at all my different jobs, I thought I could share some of the best of the best quotes. Now these quotes may have come from my new job or from one of my other 12 jobs I have ever had. Also, not all of these conversations were from external callers. Some may have been from other coworkers calling me. It will just have to be a guessing game on your end.

"What is the best lawyer in the world?" This is how I wanted to reply - Really, like what type of laywer and the best based on whose standards. That is a little hard to judge.

"I'm not going to answer your questions, you're going to answer mine." This is how I wanted to reply - Well, I will not answer any questions if you are going to act like that. You don't have to be so rude.

"Have another tequila in your coffee." This is how I wanted to reply - That is actually a rather smart idea, if only it was Friday.

"I have a burial plot that everybody needs and I would like to sell it." This is how I wanted to reply -  Do you want to sell it to me personally? But if everybody needs it, why do you want to sell it?

"I am looking for a drug dealer." This is how I wanted to reply -  Well here is my personal cell phone number. I can hook you up!

"I want to talk to someone about something that can help me with something." This is how I wanted to reply -  Can you be more vague? Honestly.

My Inner Child

Are you ready to act like a kid? Most days I wish I could just be 12 again because those days were easy. You know, when your parents made your bed, you got help with your homework, you didn't have bills to pay, and you were not allowed to stay up late. Yeah, those days.

Anyway, lets all just pretend to be 12 again for a few minutes or until you are done with this post.
There are so many awesome animated films coming soon to theaters. Actually some of them may already be out right now. I wouldn't have the slightest idea what a movie theater even looks like inside since I have not been to one since 2008 - yikes! *Updated - I actually went to the movie theater this past Sunday and saw one of these movies listed below. You guess.*

I am a huge sucker for an animated film. Nemo - just keep swimming. Despicable Me - banana. Monsters Inc. - kitty. Toy Story - to infinity and beyond. I could just keep going. But instead, I would rather watch previews for some of the new movies.

Seriously?! I thought the movie was about Nascar and I got really excited to write about how the Midwest loves Nascar. Then I got really disappointed to find out that the movie was about Indy 500. But then I got excited again because I live in Indy. Let me get back on track... I want to see this movie! "Lube liberally!"

Yes, another set of talking characters that are in real life not alive or breathing. But that is what makes these movies great. Let's see how similar this one will be to Cars.

Okay, this one is already out and I have heard nothing but great things about it. Just watch second 46 if you don't want to watch any other part - that is my favorite!! I will relive my college days with beer pong and keg stands until I go see this movie.

Minions, can I say anything else. We all love us some Minions. I cannot wait to see this one. 

I feel like this one hasn't received that much air time. Plus it is from the creators of Wreck It Ralph and that movie was freaking awesome. The trailer is so vague that I have no idea what the movie is even about. But I laughed at the trailer. Like pee my pants kind of laugh.

Okay, now I will go back and resume my normal adult roles.

I was having a block when it came to today's post. 

That is when I normally turn to alcohol. Give me that glass of wine, martini or delicious beer.

Or I could just join Santa there in that bar.

Then it started raining outside and I started imagining snow. 

I don't want to think about snow.

This is when I went to other blogs for ideas. 

Idea number one, make a gift guide.

Or idea number two, write a post sharing holiday decorating tips.

In the end, I came up with no great ideas but I hope you all got a chuckle.

Then I had a cup of coffee and called it a day.
